Hi, I’m Di, photographer and owner of Di Watson Photography.

Welcome to my landscape gallery of some of my favourite images.

I live in Mulgoa on the outskirts of Sydney with my pets, 2 labradors, Tilly  & Neddy who always travels on my road trips, a smoochy rescue cat Clancy and a parrot.

I have made it a fantastic Outdoor Studio at Mulgoa on 2 acres, with beautiful gardens, an old shack, dam, old wagon, an old Chevy truck & Chevy ute, tractor and windmill, so lots of rustic stuff and lovely gardens. The props make a great setting for family portraits and wedding formal photo shoots.

I also offer my studio as a Pop Up Wedding Ceremony for small weddings.

Photography for me started as a hobby and wasn’t something I chose as my career. I had decided on becoming a vet nurse due to my love of animals at high school. I still love my vet nursing and work one day a week at the surgery in Penrith where I’ve been for over 35 years. It’s a little difficult to give up something you love and animals, especially my pets are one of the main loves of my life.

I always stay true to my style by photographing from the heart. With an artistic eye and a passion for capturing beautiful relaxed images, each day is different being a photographer.

The emotions we see as we travel through life can be captured through the lens in many different styles and angles, and the same image may look totally different a few minutes later due to light or circumstance. Sunsets can change by the minute with all the colours in the sky, light glorifies everything. Clouds can change a picture immensely so no two sunrises or sunsets will ever be the same!

We live in an amazing country with so much beauty and diversity in the land, the wildlife and people.

I especially love the outback and the country, it’s a wonderful area of Australia that a lot of us don’t get to experience. The people you meet are a highlight, so warm & friendly & full of character. I have been blessed with many life friends thanks to my travels. especially since 2011 when I started a website directory called Farmstay Australia to promote tourism to rural Australia.

I love travelling and exploring our beautiful country as often as time and our work commitments allows, the freedom of packing the caravan or swag and the critters is a great way to relax though I’m often up for sunrise every morning wherever I am.

Here is the link to the website called Farmstay Australia to promote Farmstays & Stationstays for accommodation & camping. It’s growing in size every week.

So my life is busy and I love every second of it, whether it is my weddings and portraits or trekking about some country roads looking for inspiration.

Enjoy browsing my website & galleries.

Take care, Di  xx
